STOP THE MADNESS ALREADY!

Yes, we have lost those girls to that grisly road accident along Kisii highway, and (thanks to you) we now have photos to remind us of the tragedy. Are you aware that their driver passed away too? Oh! Wait! I bet you do not have photos of him. Otherwise you’d have paraded him as well. Anyway, that’s not the point.

My point is, keep those photos to yourself.

I understand you are well updated on trending matters. But I care less!

Filling my news feed with their photos won’t bring any of them back to life.

Think about their families. Do you even have the slightest of ideas what they are going through right now? Do you!???

Okay. Let me try and illustrate it in lay man’s language. A language I really hope you fathom.

What you are doing is like pricking a fresh wound with a salted red hot rod! Straight to the flesh. Yes! White raw flesh.

Call it sharing. Call it spreading information. Buy your actions are causing more harm than good.

Lest you forget, there are underage kids on Facebook too. Children who will be affected by those gross photos.

I mean, I am still seated still here contemplating on whether I should really go out tonight or just stay indoors and cuddle with the haunting images you’ve fed me, yet I am a fully grown male. Thank you, I am now afraid of our roads. I can only imagine what’s going through the tender minds of kids who have seen the photos you posted ever so carelessly.

Let’s admit it. Accidents happen. It is the dark side of life. But do we really need a reminder that these vehicles we travel in daily are nothing but moving coffins? Do we really need photos that give us a slight idea of how we shall look like if indeed the worst ever happened on the road? DO WE?

Spare us the agony

We are just fine in our oblivious state. The ignorance we are wallowing in is blissful enough. Emancipate us not!

Spare their families

I beg of you. Let them mourn their beloved ones in peace. If they need reminders of them, I am sure they have those in abundance.

Cease posting those photos, please.

But then some will take me for a raging mad man.

Others will say I am a trauma victim.

But remember, what goes around comes back around.

You better pray and hope photos of your cadaver won’t end up on the internet. May be on Facebook, your timeline even.
