This is one of those contentious debates that involves the blame game among involved parties. One of those topics that everyone (even clueless kids) has something to say. In a nutshell, it is obviously a very enthralling issue that will probably stick around till thy kingdom come.
In that case, I wish to contribute my two cents (not literally) worth of ideas.
Being a male, I understand that we are christened natural cheats. Apparently some schools of thought argue out that men are naturally wired to cheat. They go further ahead to even cite some crazy examples as well as scientific findings (which I sincerely find crappy).
Here’s what I think is the reason as to why men play around with these frustum (I mean skirt) wearers.
GREED
Men are conquerors by default. The urge to conquer and keep conquering is a pretty aggressive force. But that is the only positive part in our case. Most guys are plain greedy. The more they get the more they want. It doesn’t matter whether he’s dating some drop-dead-gorgeous lady but he’ll still want to bang that average lady shopkeeper down the street. Reason? He wants to conquer that kingdom and add it to his trophy chest. If you ask me, this is one of those silly reasons that make me want to high-five someone on the face with a steel chair.
ADVENTURE
This is as simple as it sounds. Some men will cheat just for the thrill of it. You know like how a kid will want to lick the chili sauce lid just to get a feeling of whatever it is that mummy tries so hard to keep away from them.
A man will want to get down with his girl’s sister just to find out whether she is as good, or even better. *cough*
LOOKING FOR A MOTHER FIGURE
My lady friends keep telling me that men never grow. They argue that simply because a man has a deep baritone voice, wide shoulders, a moustache and is way past the diaper age doesn’t mean he’s grown. In fact, they actually believe that all men are diaperless kids who no longer live with their mums. That is why they will spend so much trying to trace their “other” mums.
Don’t punch me in the face bro. I’m totally pissed as well.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, it is actually true that some men will cheat in a bid to find a woman who is like his mother. He’ll skip from woman to woman till he finally comes across that lady he thinks is a facsimile of his mummy.
Silly. Right? I agree. I still cant get the sense in it.
OTHER REASONS
Many reasons have been offered to explain this uncouth behavior in men. Reasons such as:
- Looking for greener pasture
- Nagging ladies
- Miscommunication
These are just but a few of them.
But at the end of the day, a man who really loves his lady will never cheat on her.
Aye bro, cheating is pretty easy. How about you try something more challenging like… uhm …being faithful!
